Shelby CrepsClient Service Coordinator

Shelby is a graduate of Grand Valley State University where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Public and Nonprofit Administration with an emphasis on budgeting and finance.

Outside of work Shelby enjoys camping in Northern Michigan, spending quality time with family and friends, and hanging out with her cat. She also loves to travel and try new foods.

Sarah SmithClient Service Coordinator

Sarah currently has over a decade of Customer Service and Administrative experience which includes running office operations for multiple companies.

She enjoys volunteering her spare time. Her personal goals are focused by the importance of family, and she has worked with people in all stages of life throughout her work experience.

Lisa LukkariLegal Assistant

Lisa has over 30 years of experience working as a Legal Assistant. Lisa has worked in the areas of elder care law, estate planning, family law, probate and criminal law.

Lisa grew up in Redford, MI and moved to the Whitmore Lake area in November of 2000. While her kids were very young and in school, she worked a variety of jobs including home transcription, child care, dental assistant and a paralegal. She returned to working in a law office in October of 2005 and continues to this day. Lisa really enjoys talking to the clients and assisting them in any way possible.

Lisa loves to take long walks with her husband and three dogs. Lisa has walked twice in the Susan Komen 3-day walk and is very active in helping out to fight cancer in any way she can.

Gail GonosParalegal

Gail has over twenty-five years' experience as a paralegal in various areas of the law, including estate planning, probate, corporate, and trust funding.

Although Gail has been in Michigan for twenty years, she originally hails from Pittsburgh, where she studied computer science at the Community College of Allegheny County. Her various community service activities include volunteering with the Knights of Columbus, as a member of various Parent Teacher Organizations, and as an intramural sports team manager. She is an avid sports fan, a soccer and football mom, and she enjoys reading a good book at the beach.

Elizabeth A. LauerParalegal

Elizabeth joined The Elder Care Firm in March, 2018. She has 32 years’ experience as a Paralegal working in the areas of Estate Planning, Corporate and Tax.

Elizabeth obtained Paralegal and Accounting Assistant Certificates from Oakland University and an Associate Degree from Oakland Community College. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan - Legal Assistant Section and the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA)

Elizabeth is a three-time participant in Team in Training, which helps support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s research projects in cancer research. Elizabeth enjoys walking, vacationing on Lake Michigan and going on adventures with her friends.

Helena KampwerthParalegal

Helena has over fifteen years of legal experience in Elder Law, Family Law, Medical Malpractice Defense; and varied experience in administration and as a financial secretary/bookkeeper. In 1996 she graduated from Oakland Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences/Paralegal studies.

After 10 years in the Brighton/Howell area, Helena relocated to Lake Fenton, Michigan. She currently is a weekend warrior at her Higgins Lake home; and enjoys time with family and friends golfing, boating, an occasional college sporting event and especially weekends up north. Helena has volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels and is a past member of the Livingston County Consortium on Aging; where she assisted with the Consortium’s annual Caregiver Fair and Senior Power Day events.

Chad Dickieson

Chad is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science. He furthered his education by graduating from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he earned his J.D. During his time in law school Chad was a student intern in the Sixty Plus Clinic. The Clinic gave him a basic understanding of estate planning and elder law to which he is now looking to expand his knowledge.

In his free time he enjoys spending his days outside, whether it be at the beach, golfing, or attending a sporting event. He is a fan of every Detroit sports team although sometimes the Tigers and Lions make it difficult.

Jessi McKenna-SnyderParalegal

Madison L. BerryQueen of Cool

Maddie is in charge of coolness at the firm. It’s her responsibility to be the real ruler of the firm while at the same time winning everyone over with her smile and hilarious personality.

Born in December of 2012, Mads is Christopher’s only daughter. When not at work, Christopher will often be having tea parties at Maddie-cakes direction.

Ryan C. BerryDirector of Inspiration

Ryan is the director of inspiration at The Elder Care Firm. His talents include dressing better than anyone else, bringing smiles, and creating chaos.

Born in August, 2010, he is Christopher’s first child and only son. As you can see from the pic, he is well on his way to taking over the firm in a few years, often dressing better than his dad.

In addition to the direct staff, The Elder Care Firm, also employs outside professionals or works closely with outside professionals, including social workers, Geriatric Care Managers, financial and insurance professionals, and placement specialists to ensure that each family has the best holistic plan possible.
